The Core of Christine’s problem with Meri and why she doesn’t trust her in my opinion…..

Christine stated in this weeks episode that she ended the friendship with Meri a long time ago because she didn’t trust her. She said they tried a couple of times in Vegas which meant the end their friendship/relationship probably started in Lehi. I’m sure there were multiple issues and reasons over the years but I think the BIG one was Meri going behind her back and “gifting” Kody with Robyn.In their book Meri openly admits she brought Robyn to Kodys attention and gave him permission to start seeing her as a potential wife after 16 years of just the OG wives. Meri even says it was her and Kodys special little SECRET. How gross and betraying is that? Meri was just indulging her own need to give Kody a hot young “handmaiden” to bolster her own flagging relationship with Kody (Totally backfired on her I the end). Meri reveled in this behind Christine and Janelle’s backs. And to make it worse Christine was pregnant with Kodys 13th child.Christine was NEVER on board with another wife. Never. She said she liked things exactly the way they were. I mean it had been 16 years. And to have Meri support Kody in courting another woman had to be emotionally devastating. I’d never trust her ever again either. What Meri did was totally wrong. She should have approached Christine and Janelle about another wife and Robyn specifically before she EVER opened the opportunity with Kody. Meri betrayed the sister wife code, in my opinion. Neither Meri or Kody had any respect for or valued Christine’s feelings or opinion.And I don’t think Christine ever got over it. Kody betrayed her also. He just had the good fortune of being able to justify his midlife crisis affair/new cute young thing behind the religious guise of polygamy. And Christine was sort of stuck with it also because she was publicly defending polygamy. But, oh……oops…….never thought she’s be facing a new young wife after 16 years. It’s been a painful process to watch as we’ve seen Christine come to realize and accept that polygamy isn’t for her. Christine was raised in polygamy but that girl is a true monogamist at heart.I believe this was the end of any possible friendship between Meri and Christine. I can’t imagine how betrayed she felt by Meri’s smugness of bringing Robyn in behind their backs and to be pregnant with the guys baby at the same time while he is running around with another woman and her kids (with Gods approval, no less) 🙄
