TLC show My 600 Lb Life provided severely obese men and women a chance to lose weight. Dr. Now was the medical consultant who helped the participants lose weight and qualify for surgery. Steven Assanti was also a part of the show. Dr. Now had called him a “unique case.”

Steven Assanti had appeared on My 600 Lb Life with his brother Justin. Many viewers thought he was mean, rude, and crazy. He had an addition to food and pain medicines. This was also why he got himself hospitalized many times. Dr. Now referred to Assanti as a unique case.
The TLC star did not lose much weight before exiting the show. After his exit, he kept himself on the down low. However, Steven did create a YouTube channel where he posts videos. Apart from this, one very interesting development occurred in his life: Steven became a married man. He met the love of his life, Stephanie Sanger, online back in 2018 and subsequently married her.
Steven was showing signs of COVID-19 on Christmas Eve of 2021. However, when the doctors examined him, they found pneumonia as well as the COVID-19 virus. However, the star overcame both and is alive and reasonably well now. Steven did lose a lot of weight and now weighs around 500 lbs. His latest appearance also shows that his teeth have fallen off.
