Jay Manuel and Pamela Chavez got their own reality TV series for the first time ever. But they made history after he became the first black trans and disabled man to appear on reality TV screens. Moreover, Jay is a leading man in the show alongside his girlfriend Pamela, who is an American-Mexican queer.
Pamela and Jay crossed paths online and eventually began their friendship. Due to the same disability, they got close and exchanged rings. Jay called himself a mini music producer and content creator. In one of the episodes, he shared that growing up, he never really came across someone like him who takes the lead. Hence, he advocated for change in society through the show.

Recently, TLC dropped a new trailer of Jay & Pamela to tease some upcoming moments. It was a pure joy for fans to catch a glimpse of Pamela Chavez gifting her pet Cheddar a new dress. She said that it seems she likes it. The next scene had Jay reveal that there are a lot of things that need to be done before their wedding.
Pamela also agreed with Jay and opened up about finalizing their wedding party. She asked her brother to walk her down the aisle, and if their parents were attending the marriage. However, he looked baffled by the sudden question. Jay was visibly upset at how his partner’s family abandoned their own child.
Also, Jay and Pamela went on a house tour, which they probably would buy. As he complained about having no ADA, she pointed out the washroom door. Then, Jay’s dad, Raphael, cleared his doubts about the pair’s living situation. Pamela shared that if she starts living with Jay one day, she would love to learn to drive.
Jay’s mom, Renee, looked shocked after what Pamela said. But Pamela took the challenge and started driving a car as Jay waved at her. At last, the wedding bells rang, and Jay, wearing a blue suit and his favorite bow, was waiting for Pamela to arrive. They shared their joy with their family and close friends on the special day.
