Sophie and Rob – who are both mixed race – met after she followed “Instagram pages for cute mixed-race guys.” Shortly after they connected, Rob asked if they could FaceTime. Sophie proved her point when she invited her friend Soraya on a night out and Soraya confirmed to Tor’i that they met through the “friends’ side” of the dating app in 2019.

“That same app that I met Soraya on, I’m still on that app to make friends because I don’t know anyone out here,” the U.K. native admitted in a private confessional. “And there’s bi women on the friend side, like you can be bi or gay and still look for friends. The spinoff series, which documents couples after their first 90 days in America, premiered on March 17, 2024, and promised major drama for the international couple.

“After a rocky 90 days in the United States before tying the knot, Rob and Sophie are still working out a lot of issues in their relationship,” the official press release, shared by Entertainment Tonight stated. “Despite wanting to make her marriage work, Sophie is still bothered by Rob’s infidelities and fears he won’t make the changes she needs from him.”

During the season premiere, Sophie moved in with her friend Kay after she found shocking videos from another woman on Rob’s phone.

After Sophie moved out, Rob admitted that he was worried her relationship with Kay was romantic. He then shared that they hadn’t had sex in a while, while he also wondered if his wife would get “used to life without him.”

The international duo decided to attend couples’ therapy in hopes of bettering their marital issues. Sophie mentioned Rob’s history of online infidelity to the therapist and discussed their lack of a sex life, stating that Rob had asked her to “dress up” during intercourse.

“The types of women that you do look online, they don’t look like me. Like muscular, fitness bodybuilder women,” the U.K. native said during the session, to which Rob replied, “I’m not like this porn addicted, bodybuilder fetish guy. Like what the f–k? That’s not who I am.”

The therapist told the couple that the resentment between them would make it difficult to move forward and the pair agreed to make changes.

Sophie’s mom didn’t make things easy for the couple as she insisted her daughter leave Rob. The trio reunited for drinks during the June 9, 2024, episode and the outing did not go well.

“There’s obviously a big elephant in the room. Your marriage is an absolute trainwreck,” Claire told Rob. “I don’t think she should stay with you.”

As the couple joined 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2 to work on their marital issues, fans watched Sophie and Rob argue on social media over the model allegedly being on a dating app while the couples’ retreat was being filmed in March 2024.

During a February 2025 episode of The Last Resort, Sophie told her castmates that her friend sent her a screenshot of Rob’s active dating profile. After the episode aired, Sophie took to her Instagram to share the screenshot publicly.

“Since this man wants to continue to lie to people and make me look bad, f–k it, I have time today,” she wrote over the photo, which showed a dating profile’s About Me section and a photo of Rob.

“Here is the dating profile I found him on while literally at a marriage retreat,” she added.

In another post, Sophie shared a photo of herself appearing to have a bloody eyebrow, writing, “Here is the real reason I first left when he pushed me into a table because I was trying to break up with him because I was scared of him. I still have a scar on my eyebrow from the stitches I needed.”

Sophie also claimed that Rob exhibited abusive behavior, including throwing objects at her. She accused him of throwing “everything” she owned into the trash, allegedly because she “left makeup out while getting ready.”

“So then I had no belongings and no money and he wouldn’t even buy me food or clothes,” the U.K. native wrote. “I had to beg for basic needs.”

Sophie claimed that she suffered from “constant panic attacks” during The Last Resort filming due to “built-up trauma.” She also alleged that Rob was “nice” to others on the show but “evil” to her when they were alone.

“I have been quiet for years protecting him and it has made me look like the crazy person and the one who didn’t care but for my peace, I can’t do it anymore,” she added. “I never wanted to expose Rob this way as I don’t want everyone to hate him and that is why I took so long to post the evidence — it’s been at the expense of my mental health.”

Sophie concluded, “I just want to continue to heal from this. Only Rob’s side has been shown because I protected him, but now both sides can be seen and hopefully, my actions can be understood a bit more.”
