Apart from the fact that Gino is so secretive about what his head is like under the hat, he’s also been keeping many secrets about his past from Jasmine. The 51-year-old Gino embarked on a very special trip on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, where he’s flew to Panama to meet the love of his life, Jasmine, 34. Gino had been living a solitary life for a while after having been in a couple of serious relationships previously, including a failed marriage with his Brazilian ex. Gino works as an automotive engineer. Work had taken Gino to Brazil for six months, where he met Denise from São Paulo. “We knew we were in love and wanted to be together,” Gino recalled during his 90 Day Fiancé debut. He brought Denise to the United States on a K-1 visa, which is also his plan for Jasmine.

The couple was married for seven years. However, Gino spoke about how he and Denise lost that “spark” over the course of seven years. This is when Gino and Denise mutually filed for divorce. According to InTouch, Gino filed for divorce from Denise on December 7, 2012. An online docket revealed that Gino and Denise’s divorce was finalized on June 7, 2013. However, Denise has been entirely scrubbed from Gino’s social media, which suggests they may have ended things on a bad note. While Denise’s current whereabouts haven’t been revealed, it’s possible she’s still living in the United States.
On the show, Gino mentioned that going through the divorce was “very difficult.” He lost hope about ever finding that right person to start a family with. In early 2020, Gino started looking for love internationally after not having had much luck locally. That is how Gino met 34-year-old Jasmine, who’s “one of the smartest girls” he’s ever been with on a dating app. Gino thinks that Jasmine is “the ultimate girl,” and he confessed he got feelings for her “right away” on the first day that they spoke.
In the recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Jasmine didn’t speak well about Gino’s ex-wife. She called Denise “stupid” while shopping for souvenirs with Gino in Panama City. Gino was offended by Jasmine and added, “She’s just my ex-wife. That’s that.” But according to Jasmine, every corner of Gino’s house screams Denise as there are still mementos from Brazil which are being used as decor. But that’s where Gino’s connection with his former wife seems to end, even though he does appear to be someone who likes to dwell in his past.
