1000-lb Sisters star, Amanda Halterman is sharing a sad stage 4 cancer update plus she has details on the GoFundMe. Things have not been easy for Amanda lately as she has been battling her own health problems. So, what news does she have to share? Keep reading for more details.
Amanda Halterman Shares Sad Stage 4 Cancer News
The cast of 1000-b Sisters has long struggled with health and weight issues. They have undergone weight loss surgeries and gone to great lengths to get their lives under control. It has not been easy but for some, it has been worth it. Tammy Slaton fought but ultimately, she was able to drop enough weight to get cleared for surgery. Along with that, she was able to start living without oxygen and her wheelchair. Fans are consistently blown away with how incredible she looks but she had the love and support of her family. This included her sister, Amanda Halterman.
Amanda was always there for whatever Tammy needed and to give her motivation. Recently, Amanda has been hit with her own problems as she thought she was just under the weather. She ended up with a heart monitor and shared this on her social media. Fans felt awful but were happy that she was starting to feel somewhat better and looked incredible:

Fortunately, Amanda had her boyfriend by her side. However, her family faced more sad news. Their cousin, Katie Slaton was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Along with that, a GoFundMe had been started and shared but some wondered if it was legit. Although the 1000-lb Sisters family was facing tragedy, Amanda Halterman is back with an update.
They have raised nearly $2K of their $14K goal. At this point, Amanda was grateful for everyone who donated. However, she is still asking for prayers for Katie:
“Thank you to all those who have donated and sent well wishes. Please continue to lift up our family and my cousin as we continue this journey.”

It is clear that Katie Slaton’s journey has only just begun. This will be a long road for her and the 1000-lb Sisters family. Yet, social media has blown up with love and support as well as prayers, well wishes, and relatable cancer stories:
