Once Chris Combs revealed his father’s death as the motivation behind wanting to undergo surgery. His father passed away at 57 due to his weight, which ranged from 400 to 500 pounds. So, Chris wanted to be around his family since it meant everything to him. He also wished to drop enough weight to play football with his daughter, Emily. Fortunately, he had his bariatric surgery in 2022.
Additionally, Chris expressed his desire to come out as an inspiration to many, including Emily, to pursue her own fitness goals. So far, he has immensely succeeded in his weight loss journey on 1000 Lb Sisters. In January, he showed his rapid loss through a selfie, showing his slim face to his followers on Instagram. His face noticeably appeared slimmer than what it used to be.

Through a confessional video in the teaser, he revealed that he is comfortable showing his body around his siblings. While Tammy and Brittany waited in the appointment room, Chris jokingly said that he felt like a sumo wrestler in his hospital gown. As Chris playfully strolled around the room in his underwear below the gown, Tammy quipped, “I’m glad you’re not in tighty-whities.”
To this, Chris replied with a laugh, saying that he has got some blue undies that are pretty. Fans enjoyed watching Chris and Tammy share playful and sweet moments together.
